Journaling Prompts

Refined:  Were you taugh or trained as a child to be ladylike, and did you comply? Are you more of a lady or a tomboy? How much do you value decorum and elegance? Would you rather be dressed to the nines and in heels and pearls or in jeans and bare feet? Does etiquette matter to you?

Bestow: What gifts have you been granted? Do you think about the sources of the good fortune in your life, and how do you show gratitude? What gifts have been denied you? Do you harbor anger at that same source?

Beauty: How do you measure or evaluate beauty? Is there such a thing as objective beauty, or is it in the eye of the beholder? Do you consider yourself beautiful? If not, why now? What would you change about yourself if you could? Is there anything you would give up for objective beauty?

Graceful: Is there someone in your life, now or in the past, who personifies grace? What qualities does/did that person possess that were/are graceful? What parts of their behavior or personality would you like to emulate?

Mercy and Forgiveness: How good are you at showing grace, kindness and forgiveness to others?  Do you live and behave with dignity and treat others as such? Have you ever been unable to forgive someone? Looking back, have your feelings changed?
